Forgotten Clefs, Renaissance Wind Ensemble invites you to a midsummer's eve performance of early music in Richmond’s Historic Fan District. Come experience music—from not just England—but from throughout the British Isles, as our members bring works of Byrd, Dunstable, Dowland, MacDermott, and others to life on period instruments. In addition to our usual shawms, recorders, and dulcians, you'll enjoy the distinctive colors of harp and pipe and tabor!
We welcome our friends from RVA Baroque, Richmond's community early music ensemble. They’ll open the evening with flavors of the Italian baroque—a sprightly quartet written for St. Mark's Cathedral in Venice and a lilting vocal duo celebrating the country life.
Meet Forgotten Clefs and RVA Baroque artists at the post-concert reception.
